Our Pastor

Reverend Curtis L. Strong was called to pastor Cedar Grove Baptist Church on October 11, 2009. Since accepting his call to the ministry in 1996, he has served Pleasant Green, Shiloh, Rose Hill, Greater Sonora and Belmount Baptist Churches.Pastor Strong has dedicated his life to preaching and teaching the word of God. He is currently enrolled at Mississippi Baptist Seminary and Bible College. He is relentless in his community involvement which includes serving as a member of the Gateway MAP Coalition, the Yazoo County Brotherhood Association and the Yazoo County Congress of Christian Education.

With a practical, yet insightful and charismatic preaching style, he is passionate about his fight for the underprivileged and the unsaved. Pastor Curtis Strong is devoted to spreading the good news of the gospel and empowering as well as encouraging everyone he meets. Our Pastor's philosophy is a church should be, "Bible-Based, Christ-Centered, and Holy Spirit Led"

Reverend Curtis L. Strong was born in Yazoo City, MS and raised in Benton, MS. He is married to Yolanda Phillips-Strong. He and his lovely wife share four children: Ashericka, Darius and Billy and Desmond.
